Homecoming 2024: Honkan Pre-Renovation Open House – with love and thanks for Honkan

The Honkan, a cherished learning center for all alumni, is undergoing renovations to preserve this important structure for future ICU students. On Sunday, March 3, 2024, ICU and ICU Alumni Association together will host a Homecoming just before the renovation kicks off (access to Honkan will be restricted starting from March 11). Lectures by beloved teachers will also be held. Come and enjoy a wonderful time being an ICU student again. We have programs for children, so please bring your families along.

Led by ICU students, activities ranging from relaxation to socializing will be available, centered around Bakayama, a place that held sentimental value for students through various activities. Center for Gender Studies: Poster Presentation & Fund-raising 12:00-14:00, 15:00-15:30; Honkan 2F Lounge

The Center for Gender Studies (CGS) has been a hub of Gender and Sexuality Studies major (GSS) and all forms of inclusion on campus. Our posters show what ideas gave birth to the all-gender toilet and other inclusive facilities.  We also appreciate your kind donation to the Rainbow Award, which is given to the best senior or master’s thesis of GSS each year.
And don’t miss the 14:00 lecture by Dr. Kazuko Tanaka, the founder of CGS and the Rainbow Award!
